The agribusiness is becoming a key industry in meeting these major challenges, so that future generations too will be able to prosper, while living in harmony with nature.

Who we are

As a leading provider of nitrogenous fertilizers, K+S Nitrogen possesses unique competence in working with nitrogen. Nitrogen, as the engine of plant growth, is indispensable if plants are to grow healthily. Our products for use in the cultivation of field crops, vegetables, fruit and vines cover the whole range of nitrogenous fertilizers – from classic standard fertilizers through the complex fertilizer Nitrophoska® to our innovative top product with functional added value. The nitrogen stabilising ENTEC® fertilizers have achieved broad acceptance on the market in just a few years. In cooperation with BASF and other research establishments, K+S Nitrogen is developing groundbreaking solutions for optimising the efficiency of fertilizers.

We want to develop our activities in Europe and overseas, expand our portfolio and open up new fields of growth in promising markets. Sustainability

By 2050, the world’s population will grow from, currently, 6.7 billion to 9.2 billion. Furthermore, there will be changes in eating habits especially in the emerging market countries, greater demand for bioenergy and an extremely limited supply of basic foodstuffs the world over. In the years to come, all this will mean that demand for agricultural goods will continue to increase.
The area under cultivation has been increasing constantly in recent years. However, it cannot be extended infinitely. An increase in crop yields can only be achieved in the long term by means of the more intensive working of existing farmland.
